Verne Ward began Town and Country Electric in Nampa out of his home garage in 1964 with a small crew. Back then, it was mostly residential wiring projects and popped fuses, but Verne would tell his employees often: "It's simple... just be honest and do a good job."
Verne worked hard, earned trust, and grew his business. His son, Andy, joined him on many service calls, learning the trade. Andy later became a licensed electrician and ran the business for many, many years.
In turn, Andy's son Mitch helped his dad and grandpa around the shop. He too became an electrician, and now runs the family business. Today, Town & Country is heavily focused on technology and innovative approaches to solve electrical problems, including Thermal Imaging and Electrical Automation methods such as Programmable Logic Controllers.
Today, Town & Country is one of Nampa's leading contractors, supporting several multi-million dollar Dairies and Feed & Seed Companies with sustainable, cost-saving energy solutions, working with Idaho Power initiatives to enhance customer rebates, and - yes - they still love calling on homeowners and fixing popped fuses.
